Are we having fun yet?

We answer "yes" when these things are true:

  • We are working with smart people who cherish a sense of humor.
  • We believe in the intrinsic value of what we are doing.
  • We are making stuff that makes a direct, positive contribution to society.
  • We get a sense of achievement, having done it right.
  • We are working with people who regard peace and social justice as their core values.
  • We keep a balance between what we enjoy doing on our own and contributing towards our families’ well-being, growth and happiness.

Craftsmen remember Craftsmen. When we meet someone whose work we respect, we stay in touch with them. That's how we got to accumulate a network of people we can call upon to join us on a project.

Now there are folks out there who will bid on a project and then run an ad on Craig's List to try to pull together a "team." Well, that's not a team, that's an aggregation of of random individuals. We don't believe that "Software Engineers" are interchangeable personnel units. Everyone we bring into a project is someone whose work we know. Craftsmen.
